Job Description
This position plays a key role in a high-volume production environment by running polishing equipment, performing specialized testing, and ensuring customer orders are accurately picked, packed, and staged for shipment. This position supports continuous mill operations by maintaining efficient material flow, operating forklifts, and managing finished goods inventory in a fast-paced warehouse and manufacturing setting.
Responsibilities
Run ID and OD polishers to meet production and quality requirements.
Perform Air Underwater Hydro Testing according to established procedures and safety standards.
Operate, or be willing to learn to operate, forklifts to move materials and finished goods safely and efficiently.
Print customer orders according to scheduled time and date requirements.
Pick customer orders accurately and in a timely manner.
Pack shipments in line with specific customer requirements and company standards.
Label customer packages clearly and correctly to ensure proper identification and delivery.
Stage and consolidate customer shipments when applicable to optimize loading and transportation.
Perform finished goods inventory cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory records.
Replenish inventory in storage racks to ensure product availability for production and order fulfillment.
Assist shipment loaders with organizing and loading outbound shipments.
Obtain and maintain forklift certification and operate forklifts in a safe and effective manner.
Work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment to help prevent production delays and mill shutdowns.
Follow all safety guidelines, standard operating procedures, and quality standards in daily tasks.
Essential Skills
6 months to 1 year of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
Experience with general labor tasks in a production or warehouse setting.
Order picking experience with attention to accuracy and timeliness.
Forklift operating experience or a strong willingness to learn and become certified.
Ability to use RF scanners for inventory, picking, and material tracking.
Material handling skills, including moving, staging, and organizing products and materials.
Experience operating a sit-down forklift or the ability to learn this equipment.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Strong reliability and commitment to attendance to support continuous operations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Prior experience in both warehouse and manufacturing environments is highly beneficial.
Comfort working with production equipment such as polishers and testing machinery.
Ability to learn new processes, equipment, and systems during an extended training period of approximately 3 to 6 months.
Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors, especially regarding scheduling and workload.
Attention to detail when printing, picking, packing, and labeling customer orders.
Willingness to work the "D" shift schedule of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 5:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. after training.
Flexibility to train on the A shift for several weeks before transitioning to the assigned shift.

Work Environment
This role is based in a warehouse and manufacturing facility with roughly 100 employees working across four shifts. The environment is high volume and fast paced, supporting continuous mill operations.
A Shift: Monday-Thursday (5:00am-5:00pm)
B Shift: Monday-Thursday (5:00pm-5:00am) + 2 premium
C Shift: Friday-Sunday (5:00am-5:00pm) +6 premium
D Shift: Friday-Sunday (5:00pm-5:00am) + 8 premium

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Janesville, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
