Amazon Process Assistant, Operations in Jandakot, Australia
Description
We’re seeking for an experienced Process Assistant to join the team at our Jandakot Fulfillment Center for a position on Day Shift, Tuesday-Friday from 0645-1700.
The Process Assistant will support the Area Manager, and will hold responsibilities in one of the following process areas within the Fulfillment Center Operations: Receive, stow, pick, pack or ship. You'll have the opportunity to continuously improve the efficiency of delivery processes, ensuring that customer orders are delivered as quickly, accurately, and cost-effectively as possible.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Support and work in all departments as required
Helping support daily management of department duties, including allocating labor, leading meetings, assigning job duties etc
Providing coverage for Area Managers
Providing policy follow-up, attendance tracking (duties do not extend to discipline)
Tracking and reporting of ATS/labor hours
Assisting the floor as an associate resource, training associates and verifying SOP compliance
Ensuring successful area performance, through tracking, reporting and feedback of associate performance
Participating in Operational Excellence initiatives in some capacity
Fully understanding workflow and daily production goals
Assisting in keeping work area clean and organised
Identifying and addressing safety hazards within the work area
Coaching associates to work safely at all times
Basic Qualifications
Availability to work 38 hours+/week, and overtime as required
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to coach, train and assist team members
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with performance metrics and lean process improvement
Experience within a distribution center, logistics, or manufacturing environment
Leadership experience managing others
