Hultquist Place is looking for a Part-Time Food Service Assistant to join our Dietary team. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, take pride in keeping things clean and organized, and want to be part of a compassionate, supportive, and fun team, we’d love to meet you!
Schedule:
Shifts may vary between 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM and 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM, based on coverage needs
What You’ll Do:
Follow assigned shift duties and task schedules, ensuring work is completed in an organized and timely manner
Serve meals to residents with attention to proper portions and presentation
Maintain an efficient pace to support timely meal service and dining operations
Assist with dining room setup and breakdown, including clearing tables and resetting for the next meal
Operate dishwashing equipment and support dish room functions, including washing dishes, pots, and pans
Clean and sanitize kitchen, dining, and dish room areas following established procedures
Properly use cleaning products and equipment to maintain a safe and sanitary environment
Follow all safety guidelines and promptly report any unsafe conditions or equipment concerns
Work collaboratively with team members and assist where needed to ensure smooth daily operations
Follow all Lutheran and Dietary Department policies and procedures
Manage time effectively to complete all assigned duties during each shift
Perform additional related duties as assigned by the Food Service Supervisor
What We’re Looking For:
High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required
Willingness to learn – on-the-job training provided
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to stay organized and maintain pace during busy shifts
Reliability and a positive, team-first attitude
