Temporary positions are part-time and ongoing. | | | | | | | | As aDirect Care Associate,you will connect with North Dakota | | | | State Hospital clients to complete daily living activities with | | | | the goal of increasing their ability to be independent. | | | | | | | | Each day,you will assist with daily living activities | | | | including personal hygiene tasks and maintaining a clean and | | | | safe environment. Also, you will model effective communication | | | | and socialization interactions as well as teach self-advocacy | | | | and self-help strategies. You will observe and monitor | | | | individuals condition, documenting and reporting any changes in | | | | well-being. In addition, you will assist the individuals | | | | identify their goals for recovery, learning, and practicing new | | | | skills, and what is important for them. | | | | | | | | You will thrive in this position,if you are an empathetic | | | | individual and have a passion for teaching individuals life | | | | skills and how to overcome barriers that may be present in their | | | | lives. | | | | | | | | To be consideredfor this position you must have a high | | | | school diploma or GED. Experience providing direct care to | | | | special populations is preferred. We will provide CNA training | | | | for full time and part time employees onsite if not currently | | | | certified.
