Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end technical tendering process. You will:
Manage Portfolio Execution : Independently manage and prioritize a portfolio of work assigned by the Sales team, ensuring swift and accurate delivery of technical offers to meet tight commercial deadlines.
Develop Technical Proposals : Design technical solutions and provide detailed costing for AIS (Air Insulated Switchgear), GIS (Gas Insulated Switchgear), High Voltage substation equipment, Generator Circuit Breakers (GCB), and Transformers.
Coordinate Multi-Disciplinary Solutions: Liaison with Regional Engineering, local execution teams, and Field Service to ensure proposed solutions are viable, executable, and cost-compliant.
Secure Internal Quotes: Collaborate with Internal Supplying Units (ISUs) and third-party vendors to obtain competitive pricing for components and services.
Legacy Equipment Engineering: Act as a technical detective to find and adapt solutions for old and legacy equipment, researching historical data to provide repair, retrofit, or extension options.
Scope Diversification: Create offerings across the full service spectrum, including loose spares, limited turnkey solutions for new product erection and commissioning (E&C), and complex maintenance/repair projects.
Customer Engagement: Directly address and satisfy customer technical queries during the pre-sales and tendering phase to build trust and ensure compliance
Survey: role involves performing site surveys for complex projects and will require travelling to remote sites.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Production) OR a High School Diploma with significant relevant technical experience.
Experience: 5–8 years of relevant experience in technical tendering, application engineering, or field services, preferably within the Power Generation or Grid industries.
Technical Expertise: Specific knowledge in Transformer repair, commissioning, and testing (either from a field service or proposals background).
Tools: High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for costing and proposal generation.
Language: Must be professionally fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia (both written and spoken) to navigate local and international stakeholder environments.
