This role is responsible for defining and executing the country’s sea freight strategy, driving sustainable growth, market competitiveness, and operational excellence. As a key member of the leadership team, you will shape the direction of the business, strengthen customer engagement, and build a high-performing organization that consistently delivers results.
How you create impact
Strategic Leadership
Define and execute the sea freight strategy for Indonesia, aligned with regional and global priorities
Drive long-term business growth, market positioning, and competitive advantage
Translate strategy into clear, actionable plans and ensure disciplined execution
Commercial & Business Growth
Lead all commercial activities to achieve revenue growth, market share expansion, and profitability targets
Develop and expand key customer relationships, including local and global accounts
Strengthen sales effectiveness, including pipeline management, conversion, and pricing discipline
Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, trade lanes, and industry verticals
Own full profit and loss responsibility for the sea freight business
Ensure strong financial governance, forecasting accuracy, and cost control
Operational Excellence
Oversee end-to-end sea freight operations, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and service quality
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and customer satisfaction
Ensure strong alignment between commercial and operations teams
People Development
Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing organization across sales, operations, and support functions
Develop a strong leadership pipeline and succession bench
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Coach and empower teams to elevate commercial and operational capabilities
Stakeholder Management
Act as the key representative for Indonesia within the regional and global network
Collaborate closely with regional leadership, global account teams, and product stakeholders
Build strong internal and external relationships to support business growth
What we would like you to bring
Experience
Significant experience in sea freight / freight forwarding, with leadership responsibility
Proven track record of driving commercial growth and managing P&L
Experience leading cross-functional teams, including sales and operations
Strong understanding of international trade, shipping markets, and logistics solutions

Results-driven with the ability to execute and deliver measurable outcomes
