Overview
Adecco is seeking a skilled Test Engineer / Senior Test Engineering Technician to support our client’s electronic manufacturing operations in a highly regulated environment. This role blends hands-on production support with test system development and continuous improvement efforts. You’ll play a key role in ensuring product quality, reliability, and compliance across industries such as medical devices, aerospace & defense, and industrial electronics.
What You’ll Do
Test Development & Engineering
Design, implement, and enhance electronic test solutions (functional, ICT, flying probe, and system-level testing)
Contribute to design-for-test reviews and new product introduction activities
Support fixture design and develop or update automated test programs (LabVIEW, Python, or similar)
Production Support
Troubleshoot test failures and diagnose issues in electronic assemblies and test equipment
Distinguish between product defects and test system errors
Improve test efficiency by reducing downtime, retests, and false failures
Quality & Compliance
Create and maintain test documentation, procedures, and calibration records
Support validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ, MSA) and audit readiness
Ensure adherence to industry standards (ISO 9001, ISO 13485, AS9100)
Process Improvement
Drive yield improvement, cycle time reduction, and equipment reliability
Participate in root cause investigations and corrective actions
Identify and implement automation opportunities
Data & Reporting
Monitor test performance metrics (yield, downtime, retest rates)
Maintain data integrity and support traceability requirements
Analyze trends to support continuous improvement initiatives
What We’re Looking For
Required:
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
4+ years of experience in electronics testing within a manufacturing environment
Strong troubleshooting skills (analog and digital circuits)
Ability to read schematics and technical documentation
Preferred:
Experience in regulated industries (medical device, aerospace & defense)
Familiarity with automated test platforms (LabVIEW, TestStand, NI, Keysight)
Knowledge of IPC standards or certifications
Experience with test validation and quality systems
