Global Vision Communications – Summer Intern
Location: Global / Hybrid
Department: Global Vision Communications
Reports To: Senior Manager, Communications
About the Role
The Global Vision Communications Summer Intern will support our mission to elevate the Johnson & Johnson Vision narrative, engage employees worldwide, and help communicate our innovation, impact, and purpose. This role provides hands‑on experience in corporate storytelling, employee engagement, and multi‑channel communications—ideal for a creative, motivated communicator eager to contribute to a fast‑paced global team.
Inspired by the experiences shared by Vision interns highlighting collaboration, dynamic work, and global storytelling, the intern will gain exposure to cross‑functional teams, corporate programs, and social impact initiatives such as Sight For Kids.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Storytelling
Draft and edit content for emails, newsletters, intranet articles, leadership messages, and social media.
Source “good news” stories by partnering with regional and functional teams; conduct interviews and gather testimonials.
Support production of multimedia assets, including presentations, graphics, videos, and podcasts (e.g., similar to Vision R&D podcast projects referenced in intern showcases).
Employee Communications & Engagement
Contribute to communications strategies that connect our diverse, global workforce—especially employees working in office, hybrid, and manufacturing contexts.
Help plan and promote internal events, campaigns, and global awareness initiatives.
Monitor employee feedback and engagement metrics to shape future communications.
Global Programs & Strategic Support
Assist in projects aligned to Global Vision Communications pillars such as brand reputation, innovation storytelling, and culture activation
Support cross‑regional collaboration, including APAC, EMEA, LATAM, and North America activities.
Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and cross‑functional working groups.
Research & Insights
Conduct research on communication trends, tools, technologies, and best practices.
Benchmark industry storytelling approaches and identify opportunities to enhance our communication channels.
Required Qualifications
Pursuing or completed a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, Media Studies, or related field.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work across diverse global teams.
Creative mindset with an interest in storytelling and digital communications.
Preferred Skills
Experience with graphic design, video editing, or content management tools.
Comfort working in fast‑paced, matrixed environments.
Interest in healthcare, innovation, or global social impact programs
