AMPORTS Inc Site Quality Supervisor in Jacksonville, Florida
Description
Essential Functions
Team Leadership: Directly supervise and manage the QC team (e.g., inspectors, technicians), including scheduling, performance management, training, and development.
Inspection and Testing Oversight: Oversee all incoming material inspection, in-process checks, and final product testing to ensure adherence to specifications and sampling plans.
Non-Conformance Management: Manage the identification, documentation, segregation, and disposition of non-conforming material (NCM). Initiate and track corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) related to QC findings.
Standard Compliance: Ensure the QC team follows all documented procedures, work instructions, and safety protocols. Provide input on the development and revision of site-specific quality procedures.
Calibration and Maintenance: Oversee the calibration and maintenance program for all quality-related measuring and testing equipment
Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect, analyze, and report quality data (e.g., defect rates, first-pass yield), highlighting trends and recommending areas for improvement.

This position has direct reports.
Work Environment
Well-lighted, heated, and/or air-conditioned indoor office, production setting, outdoor/indoor shop environment, or enclosed vehicle with adequate ventilation and protection from extreme weather conditions.
Physical Demands
Sedentary physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of an administrative nature. Manual dexterity sufficient to work with the fingers.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are primarily Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. This position may require overtime.
Travel
This position does not have any travel requirements.
Required Education and Experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Quality Control or Quality Assurance role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead capacity
Strong background in ISO standards and QMS auditing
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Experience with pivot tables, data analysis, and process improvement
Preferred Education and Experience
Associate or Bachelor degree
Industry certification along with required experience in lieu of degree
Experience in multi-site QMS deployment.
Knowledge of risk-based thinking and regulatory compliance frameworks.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance
Must be able to obtain TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential).
