Arena Investors LP Senior Loan Closer - Senior Associate in Jacksonville, Florida

Arena Investors, LP (“Arena”) is a global investment management firm that seeks to generate attractive risk adjusted, consistent and uncorrelated returns by employing a fundamentals based, asset-oriented financing and investing strategy across the entire credit spectrum in areas where conventional sources of capital are scarce. Arena specializes in off-the-run, stressed, distressed, illiquid and esoteric special situation transactions through originations and acquisitions of asset-oriented investments across a wide array of asset types (including but not limited to private direct corporate credit, commercial real estate bridge lending, and commercial and consumer assets).

Quaestor Advisors, LLC (“Quaestor”) is an affiliated Special Servicer, which provides mid and back office services, including asset management, to Arena Investors and external clients.

Quaestor is looking to expand the expand the Loan Operations Team through the addition of a Senior Loan Closer – Senior Associate to support loan trade settlement. In this role, the individual will be responsible for the end-to-end execution and settlement of large-scale corporate loans involving multiple lenders. Ideal candidate will be self-motivated, resourceful, and able to work effectively with all internal functional groups, trade counterparties, and agent banks.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Trade Closing & Settlement: Manage the lifecycle of loan trades, including new primary issuances and secondary market trades (Par or Distressed).

· Documentation Review: Analyze complex credit agreements, transfer documents, and legal worksheets to ensure they align with credit approvals and operational capabilities.

· Stakeholder Coordination: Act as a liaison between internal parties (Traders, Legal, Credit, Finance) and external entities (Borrowers, Agent Banks, and other syndicate members).

· System Management: Accurately set up and maintain loan data in industry-standard platforms like ClearPar and WSO (Wall Street Office).

· Financial Calculations: Compile pricing letters and funding memos, and calculate complex interest, fees (like breakage or transfer fees), and pro-rata shares for participants.

· Compliance & Risk Control: Perform KYC (Know Your Customer) checks and ensure all transactions adhere to internal policies and regulatory standards like LMA or LSTA.

Requirements

The individual will have demonstrated an ability to work in fast-paced, performance-driven environment with an ability to think broadly about the business, incorporating continual improvement of processes and procedures with a goal of excellence while focusing on accuracy and efficiency.

· Bachelor’s degree from a top university, ideally in a quantitative area (e.g., finance, economics, accounting).

· 3 to 5 years of experience in the syndicated loan market, secondary trading, and familiarity with LMA/LSTA (Loan Market Association/Loan Syndications and Trading Association) frameworks.

· ClearPar, Wall Street Office (WSO), Loan IQ, or equivalent system experience a plus.

· The highest level of personal integrity and ethical standards.

· A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a desire to work collaboratively across the organization.

· Ability to communicate at a high level.

· Strong attention to detail.
