Job Description
Join our team as a Material Handler in the Shipping/Receiving department, working in a heavy industrial facility. This role involves receiving metal and related parts for assembly, performing cycle counts, and staging products through production. You will occasionally operate a sit-down forklift, with the majority of your time spent on your feet. This position requires lifting and loading materials weighing between 50-75 pounds and involves handling materials throughout the day. You may also use a table grinder to grind and smooth metals for production, then package, wrap, and label products for shipment.
Responsibilities
Receive and manage all metal and related parts for assembly.
Perform cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
Stage products for production.
Operate a sit-down forklift as needed.
Lift and load materials weighing 50-75 pounds.
Handle materials and manage inventory throughout the day.
Grind and smooth metals for production using a table grinder.
Package, wrap, and label products for shipping.
Essential Skills
Experience in inventory control and cycle counting.
Proficiency in production, shipping, and receiving.
Ability to lift 75 pounds consistently.
Experience with sit-down forklift operations.
Organizational and analytical skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Manufacturing experience is preferred.
Warehouse experience with heavy labor is acceptable.
Forklift experience is a plus.
Mechanical inclination is advantageous.
Experience working with metal is a plus.

Work Environment
Work in a large, open bay production facility with multiple workstations. The production floor is not climate-controlled, but equipped with industrial-sized ceiling fans for air circulation. Safety is a priority, with the requirement to wear safety shoes, safety glasses, and ear plugs if needed. The facility includes forklift and manufacturing machinery.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
