Aerotek Marine Painter Position in Jacksonville, Florida
Marine Painter / Laborer Position
Job Description
Experience in shipboard painting (2+ years preferred).
Perform painting, touch-ups, and preservation on shipboard structures.
Conduct sanding, grinding, surface prepping, masking, chipping, and cleaning.
Assist technicians with coating application and material handling.
Work aboard ships, piers, dry docks, and industrial marine settings.
Follow strict safety protocols and NAVSEA standards.
Complete assignments on schedule in a high-tempo environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
DBIDS access (or ability to obtain immediately).
Prior shipyard, ship repair, or industrial/manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Ability to work overtime and weekends as required.
Experience with marine coatings, confined space entry procedures, and tank preservation.
Knowledge of NAVSEA Standard Items.
Firewatch or tank watch experience.
OSHA-10 or OSHA-Shipyard certification.
Experience working on CVNs, DDGs, LCS, or Amphib platforms.

This is a Contract position based out of Jacksonville, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
