Cardinal Health Inventory Supervisor (1st Shift) in Jacksonville, Florida
Shift: Monday - Friday; 6:00am - 2:30pm (or until work is complete for the day)
What Inventory Management contributes to Cardinal Health
Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment. Includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management as well as demand, supply and manufacturing planning.
Inventory Management is accountable for the design and execution of demand planning and customer forecasting systems, supply planning, product deployment and expediting processes, and the development and implementation of a stocking optimization model to minimize costs and inventory while delivering on service requirements.
Responsibilities
Directing and managing a team of inventory control warehouse associates to account for timely distribution and receipt of products and motive employees to ensure that predetermined productivity and quality standards are achieved
Overseeing all inventory control operations which includes, managing the flow of goods, optimizing inventory levels and ensuring efficient and accurate warehouse accurate warehouse operations.
Overseeing the completions of SOX Reporting requirements, participates in QA events, reporting and resolution of Inbound and Outbound discrepancy, processing customer returns error resolution, cycle count compliance, profiling assistance and service issues.
Implementing best practices and maintains accurate inventory records.
Adhering to budgetary guidelines and works to meet Distribution Center objectives and operational goals while maintainingstandards pertaining to quality and inventory
Driving and participating in continuous improvement projects and initiatives.
Performing daily scheduling of the work force to ensure proper staffing to select, replenish, restock, locate, and shipmerchandise in a productive and cost-efficient manner.
Developing and maintaining the inventory tracking system.
Monitoring and reporting inventory accuracy and shrinkage.
Designing and implementing inventory control procedures.
Examining material levels and identifying shortages.
Avoiding excessive surplus or inefficiencies by properly ordering new supplies.
Actively engaging in employee development, which includes training, coaching, counseling, and performance appraisals.
Collaborating with cross functional teams at all levels within the organization, specifically within operational groups on a dailybasis.
Interviewing and making hiring decisions for lead and associate level roles.
Maintaining general responsibility for disciplinary process in the area of counseling, oral and written warnings; ensuring aproductive work climate in the warehouse operation.
Preparing ad hoc reports, as necessary using Excel (or any other necessary programs)
Reviewing attendance/PTO records and ensuring scheduling is maintained.
Holding staff accountable for conducting work in a safe manner while enforcing Cardinal Health compliance and regulationsconcerning OSHA, DEA, FDA, State and local authorities
Qualifications
3-5 years of relevant experience, preferred
Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
Manhattan (WMS) experience is highly preferred.
MHE experience is highly preferred.
Experience with Microsoft Excel highly preferred
Solid warehouse profiling experience is preferred
Strong organizational skills are desired for success in this role.
Prior experience with inventory control, continuous improvement projects and initiatives.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Anticipated salary range: $67,500 - $96,300 (Depending on experience)
