This job is responsible for supporting the development and execution of strategic initiatives and/or processes aligned to priorities within a functional area and/or business. Key responsibilities include defining, developing, executing, monitoring, and/or refining strategic initiatives and processes in close collaboration with key stakeholders and internal partners.
The Business Strategy & Initiatives Manager is a key contributor within Global Operations, partnering with Line of Business leaders, Process Owners, Change Management teams, and data partners to drive strategic initiatives, process optimization, and measurable business value. This role brings together process design, initiative execution, advanced analytics, and value storytelling to support enterprise transformation, operational excellence, and a process-driven culture.
This individual owns initiatives end-to-end — from discovery and assessment through solution design, implementation, value realization, and executive communication — ensuring that strategy, process, technology, and data are aligned to deliver outcomes that matter. The ideal candidate is a strong influencer and trusted advisor, equally comfortable challenging the status quo, analyzing complex data, building executive-ready narratives, and leading cross-functional stakeholders through transformation.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy, Process Design & Initiative Execution
Partner with subject matter experts, Process Owners, and Change Management teams to maintain an end-to-end view of business processes.
Analyze current-state processes, challenge assumptions, and design optimized future-state solutions.
Build and execute strategic initiatives aligned to enterprise priorities.
Implement solutions that reduce risk, improve efficiency, and enhance controls.
Value Discovery, Analytics & Insight Development
Lead process assessments through a value lens and define KPIs and success criteria.
Translate business challenges into Statements of Value.
Perform data analysis to identify opportunities and quantify impact.
Dashboard Design & Data Enablement
Design and build executive-ready dashboards using Power BI or Tableau.
Optimize existing data models, calculations, and visualizations.
Partner with data teams leveraging APIs, databases, and SQL.
Stakeholder Engagement & Executive Communication
Engage business leaders and executives to deliver strategic outcomes.
Facilitate workshops and stakeholder interviews.
Develop and present executive-ready insights and recommendations.
Standardization & Capability Building
Standardize value frameworks, reporting templates, and delivery methodologies.
Document and share reusable playbooks and best practices.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making.
Required Skills:
The ideal candidate is a strong leader with the ability to challenge and influence stakeholders at all levels in the organization, with excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, and a process improvement mind-set with the ability to drive optimization. Directly supports the program's strategic direction, transformation efforts and process driven culture.
8–10+ years of experience in strategy, process improvement, analytics, or consulting.
Strong leadership and influencing skills within matrix environments.
Advanced proficiency in Power BI and/or Tableau.
Strong analytical, communication, and executive presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Data analytics certification (Power BI, Tableau).
Experience in process intelligence or digital transformation.
