Robert Half Accounting Clerk in Jacksonville, Florida
Description We are looking for a skilled Accounting Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Jacksonville, Florida. This position is focused on supporting a short-term reconciliation project, where you will play a key role in resolving discrepancies in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) records. If you have experience with Sage Intacct and a solid understanding of accounting principles, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities:
• Reconcile customer accounts receivable (AR) balances in Sage Intacct to ensure accuracy and alignment with company records.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in accounts payable (AP) records by comparing vendor statements to internal data.
• Maintain precise and organized documentation of all reconciliations and adjustments.
• Collaborate with internal teams to address outstanding issues and facilitate accurate financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards during all reconciliation activities.
• Conduct research on transactional data to identify errors and implement corrections.
• Provide timely updates to stakeholders on reconciliation progress and outstanding items.
• Utilize Sage Intacct software to perform detailed accounting tasks related to the project.
• Support invoice processing and data entry as needed.
• Communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments to resolve any financial discrepancies. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on AP/AR reconciliation.
• Proficiency in Sage Intacct accounting software.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, including debits and credits.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage time effectively and meet project deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams.
• High school diploma required; additional coursework in accounting is preferred.
• Experience with invoice processing, data entry, and QuickBooks is a plus.
