Army National Guard Units SURFACE MAINTENANCE MECHANIC SUPERVISOR (TITLE 32) in Jackson, Tennessee

Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a SURFACE MAINTENANCE MECHANIC SUPERVISOR (TITLE 32), Position Description Number NGD12900000 and is part of the TN ARMY National Guard. This vacancy is not eligible for membership to a labor organization. Responsibilities As a WS-5801-10, SURFACE MAINTENANCE MECHANIC SUPERVISOR, you will plan use of subordinate workers, equipment, facilities, and materials on a week-to-week or month-to-month basis. Assign tasks to be performed based on readiness and explains work requirements, methods, and procedures. Plan and establish overall leave schedules. Perform non-supervisory work, such as, transporting equipment, performing maintenance tasks, etc. Develop, publish, and ensure employee compliance with standing operating procedures for the activity supervised. Prepare for and participate in various types of readiness evaluations, inspections, mobilization and command support exercises. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Military Grades: E-8 through CW4 GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have experience or training which demonstrates knowledge of equipment to be able to do routine jobs, simple preventative maintenance tasks, and can use common tools and equipment in the line of work. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have 36 months training or experience, in addition to the journeyman level knowledge, experience which demonstrates the ability to plan, organize, and lead the work of others in fields directly related the repair function of this occupational series. Must have the ability to perform administrative functions; to read and interpret a variety of technical publications used in the repair of supported equipment. The ability to provide guidance to others in work related directly to this occupational series. Education Education Requirement: None Substitution of Education to qualify for this position is not available.
