Description
We are looking for an experienced Dispatcher to join our team in Jackson, Michigan in our dispatch office from 6:00 am- 9:00 am and then again from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm. In this Contract position, you will play a critical role in ensuring efficient coordination and communication within the transport industry. This role requires a strong ability to multitask, manage communication systems, and provide excellent customer service.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and dispatch transport services efficiently to meet operational needs.
• Manage communication through multi-line phone systems and two-way radios.
• Ensure timely responses to inquiries while maintaining high levels of customer service.
• Collaborate with public school representatives to organize transportation schedules.
• Monitor and adjust routes to address changes or delays effectively.
• Keep accurate records of dispatch activities and maintain organized logs.
• Resolve issues promptly, including addressing concerns from drivers or clients.
• Relay information accurately and promptly between drivers, clients, and management.
• Uphold safety standards and adhere to company policies during all operations.
Requirements • Previous experience in dispatching within the transport industry.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle inquiries professionally.
• Familiarity with public school transportation systems is preferred.
• Proficiency in operating multi-line phone systems and two-way radios.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
