Aertech Machining & Manufacturing Inc., a respected family-owned company in Jackson, MI, is hiring skilled CNC Machinists to join our team. For over four decades, we have been a trusted provider of high-precision machining solutions and sub-assemblies for the demanding aerospace industry.
We have openings for both 1st and 2nd shifts and are committed to maintaining a skilled workforce, offering full training to dedicated individuals who demonstrate potential.
Shift Schedule:
- 1st Shift: 5:00 AM -- 3:30 PM
- 2nd Shift: 3:30 PM -- 2:00 AM
Key Responsibilities:
The Machinist is directly responsible for operating and adjusting CNC equipment (primarily Mazak and Haas Lathes & Mills) to meet all internal and external product specifications.
- Set up and prepare CNC machines for production runs.
- Make precise adjustments to machine variables to control speed and material feed.
- Perform in-process gaging inspections to ensure parts adhere to strict tolerances.
- Utilize optical comparators and other precision measuring devices for part verification.
- Conduct final quality checks on all manufactured products.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Preferred: At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or machining-related environment.
- Proficiency in using measuring devices, including micrometers, calipers, and various gauges.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- A commitment to workplace safety and maintaining a professional, clean work environment.
- Basic computer literacy.
