We are looking for a Human Resources Analyst C or Specialist to join our Human Resources department - a proactive, goal-minded and focused team that moves our department forward. This position plays a key role in the operations of the Human Resources department, collecting and analyzing statistical data, conducting research and much more!

Minimum Qualifications

Five years of human resources experience; OR

Six years of full-time experience in any field plus two years of human resources experience; OR

A bachelor’s degree plus two years of human resources experience; OR

An advanced degree in human resources, business administration, public administration, industrial and organizational psychology, organizational behavior, or a Juris Doctorate plus one year of human resources experience.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:

Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Designation as a Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), Professional in Human Resources (PHR), or a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) will substitute for a maximum of one year of the required experience.

Job Duties and Other Information

Job Duties:

  • Serves as classification and pay expert. Manages, reviews, and submits SF-3's of position allocations, reallocations, promotions, etc. to Civil Service.

  • Responsible for the computerized SAP system functions required to process SF-3 actions in Org Management. Reviews with department heads proposed job specifications from Civil Service.

  • Maintains current job descriptions, ensuring required updates are timely. Makes recommendations to department heads concerning job updates. Assists with classification studies.

  • Reviews and analyzes new hires' qualifications to determine eligibility for 6.5g. Makes recommendations to the HR Director on hiring rates.

  • Reviews and analyzes requests for Optional Pay. Proposes correct Optional Pay reasons to address issues and problems. Processes Optional pay actions in SAP.

  • Conducts detailed salary surveys and other research. Collects and analyzes statistical data and related information to assist in determining pay problems and to recommend solutions to the HR Director, properly documenting pay mechanisms requested to address specific pay issues.

  • Reviews proposed policy and procedure changes to assess impact on assigned programs. Provides feedback to HR Director.
