Actalent Quality Engineer in Itasca, Illinois
Responsibilities
Act as a safety role model by promoting and engineering safety into all work processes.
Support personal and departmental quality KPIs; implement corrective actions when targets are not met.
Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and design qualification activities, including development of control plans and inspection methods (in-process and final), participation in Design for Manufacturing reviews, and participation in Design and Process FMEA activities.
Support FAIR and inspection activities throughout NPI.
Support transformation efforts by applying tools to improve safety, process efficiency, and cost.
Ensure customer quality requirements are communicated internally and throughout the supply chain.
Respond to customer requests for quality data, documentation, and records as needed.
Support DMR, RMA, CAPA, internal audits, and process qualification activities as assigned.
Perform additional duties as required.
Essential Skills
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.
ASQ Certified Quality Engineer strongly preferred.
7+ years of experience supporting Quality functions in a regulated industry (Aerospace and/or Medical Device preferred).
Strong working knowledge of AS9100D, ISO 9001, and/or ISO standards.
Proficiency in quality engineering, QMS, AS9100, ISO 9001, NPI, DFMEA, FMEA, FAIR, CAPA, root cause analysis, and internal audit.
Must understand how parts are made, especially how machines create parts.
Experience in assembly-focused plant environments is valuable.

This is a Permanent position based out of Itasca, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $105000.00 - $115000.00/yr.
