Exciting contract opportunity for a Senior Python LLM Engineer supporting a large, entertprise-scale organization modernizing IT Operations across Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Red Hat OpenShift. The role focuses on improving service stability, operational readiness, and incident response within a hybrid cloud environment, leveraging Python automation, LLM?enabled tooling, container platforms, and cloud infrastructure to drive standardized, scalable operations.

The defining feature of this role is its impact and influence. This engineer will act as a hands-on operational leader and change agent, directly shaping how IT Operations functions across cloud and container platforms. You’ll have the opportunity to replace legacy support models with modern, standardized frameworks while working closely with infrastructure, platform, security, and application teams. Required Skills & Experience

  • 7+ years of engineering experience or equivalent combination of work, consulting, military, or education

  • Strong Python development experience focused on automation and operational tooling

  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

  • Deep operational experience with Red Hat OpenShift and container platforms

  • Advanced Unix/Linux systems administration in large enterprise environments

  • Proven experience leading or facilitating high-severity (major) incident management calls

  • Demonstrated ability to influence process improvement and adoption of operational frameworks

  • Experience working within enterprise IT Operations models

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Experience developing or integrating LLM-enabled tools for diagnostics or operations

  • Experience conducting Operational Readiness Reviews (ORR)

  • Familiarity with enterprise monitoring, alerting, and control validation practices

  • Experience driving standardization and simplification across hybrid cloud environments

  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills across infrastructure, security, and application teams

Responsibilities include driving improvements to IT Operations practices, leading major incident management calls, delivering post-incident reviews and corrective actions, validating operational readiness and controls prior to production releases, identifying and remediating operational gaps, developing Python-based automation and LLM-enabled tools, and partnering with cross-functional teams to improve service stability across hybrid cloud platforms
