LOGISTICS PLANNER
JOB SUMMARY
The selected candidate will report to the PlanningSupervisor. This person will be responsible for scheduling 2000-2500 monthlydeliveries of liquid nitrogen, oxygen and argon in the most efficient andcost-effective manner, while ensuring the highest level of safety and Customerservice. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to determiningcustomer delivery requirements, record tank readings, ensure forecast accuracy,assess Driver/equipment availability, resolve conflicts with scheduling issues,communicate with Drivers, Terminal Managers, Plant Operators, Sales staff, andreview daily plant inventory and production rates to determine productavailability. Our customers include hospitals, electronics companies,government agencies, refinery plants, cylinder fill plants, welding companies,and food processing companies.
Required Skills:
The selected candidate must be able to work well bothindependently and as part of a group in a fast-paced environment. This personmust possess excellent communication and analytical skills as well as becomputer literate in MS Word, Excel and Outlook. A college degree and/orprevious call center experience in a related field are preferred but notrequired. Knowledge of DOT Hours ofService and regulations is preferred but not required.
