As a Mechanical Engineering Intern with PCB Piezotronics, Inc., you will apply your academic knowledge to provide practical, project-focused support, collaborate effectively with the team, adhere to company policies, and gain hands-on experience that advances both personal development and the department’s goals.

Over the summer, the intern will support multiple engineering initiatives: conduct sensor tests and organize/analyze the results (using MATLAB and other tools) to produce a test report with conclusions and recommended actions; assist the engineering team in revising and releasing engineering drawings and specifications; and help develop and commission a new test station in the engineering lab.

This is a Summer 2026 Internship located in Irvine, CA. This internship will begin on or around June 1, 2026 and end on or around August 14, 2026.

Additional Duties:

  • Works with the Engineering team and assists team members with assigned projects and tasks.

  • Provides general support to the Engineering department as required.

  • Contributes process improvement ideas and suggestions.

  • Gains as much practical experience in the workplace related to area of study by shadowing the Engineering team members, learning the relevant tools, systems and products and completing assigned projects and tasks.

  • Participates in team meetings.

  • Follows all PCB company policies and procedures.

  • Performs other duties as assigned for the efficient operation of the team and PCB.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in the applicable engineering discipline or related field from an accredited university.

  • Experience: Basic computer skills, experience with Microsoft Office applications, strong communication skills (written and verbal), self-motivated and detail-oriented and strong problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous internship or co-op experience preferred.

This position requires access to “controlled technology” as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. §730 et. seq.) and “technical data” as defined in the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (22 C.F.R, Chapter 1, Subchapter M).
