Job Title: Machine Operator Job Description
Join a leading company specializing in safety cutting solutions, renowned for enhancing workplace safety and productivity. As a Machine Operator, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process, contributing to the production of top-quality safety products.
Responsibilities
Operate grinding machines to grind metal spools into razor blades.
Set up machinery for daily operations.
Conduct safety inspections on machinery.
Monitor equipment during operation and perform adjustments and repairs as needed.
Perform welding tasks during the setup process between spools.
Cross-train in all tasks within the Blades Department.
Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
Maintain and troubleshoot grinding and welding equipment.
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes.
Complete additional tasks as directed by the supervisor.
Stage and pick materials both physically and electronically using a barcode scanner.
Manage reporting paperwork and data entry tasks.
Essential Skills
Proven experience in deburring or grinding.
Proficiency in welding, particularly during setup processes.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
5+ years of machine operation experience.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working with metal spools and razor blade manufacturing is a plus.
Basic CNC operation is a big plus.
Solid experience in managing multiple priorities.
Ability to input, retrieve, and analyze data.
Full understanding of material storage procedures and practices.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Ability to speak, read, and write English.
Good math skills (unit of measure conversions).
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification is preferred.

Work Environment
This role involves working in a manufacturing environment with a focus on safety and precision. The hours for this position are from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM. A commitment to maintaining a clean and safe workspace is essential, along with the ability to operate and troubleshoot various machinery and equipment.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40000.00 - $42000.00/yr.
