Aerotek Machine Operator - Welding/CNC in Irvine, California

Job Title: Machine Operator - Welding/CNC Machine Operating

Job Description

This role involves working with a leading company specializing in safety cutting solutions. The position is focused on operating machinery to enhance workplace safety and productivity, specifically in the manufacturing of razor blades and related products.

$23/hr

Responsibilities

  • Operate grinding machines to produce razor blades from metal spools.

  • Set up machinery for daily operations and conduct safety inspections.

  • Monitor equipment and perform adjustments and repairs as needed.

  • Perform welding tasks during machinery setup.

  • Cross-train in all tasks within the Blades Department.

  • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.

  • Maintain and troubleshoot grinding and welding equipment.

  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.

  • Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes.

  • Complete additional tasks as directed by the supervisor.

  • Stage and pick materials both physically and electronically using a barcode scanner.

  • Manage reporting paperwork and data entry tasks.

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience in deburring or grinding.

  • Proficiency in welding, particularly during setup processes.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification is preferred.

  • 5+ years of machine operating experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with metal spools and razor blade manufacturing is a plus.

  • Basic CNC operation is a big plus.

  • Solid experience in managing multiple priorities.

  • Ability to input, retrieve, and analyze data.

  • Full understanding of material storage procedures and practices.

  • Good oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to speak, read, and write English.

  • Good math skills (unit of measure conversions).

Work Environment

This is a Permanent position based out of Irvine, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40000.00 - $42000.00/yr.
