Johnson & Johnson Surgical Vision is recruiting for Lead Senior Financial Analyst, Global Innovation located in Irvine, California or Jacksonville, FL.

Responsibilities:

The key responsibilities of the Lead SFA include but are not limited to:

Innovation & Portfolio Finance Leadership

  • Drive portfolio decisions that maximize growth and long-term value creation for the $1.6b Surgical Vision business

  • Lead financial evaluations and business cases for innovation investments, ensuring disciplined capital allocation, objective return assessment, and alignment with long‑term value creation.

  • Partner cross‑functionally with R&D, Global Marketing, Supply Chain, and Regional teams to align innovation strategy, financial inputs, and execution expectations across the organization.

Strategic Business Partnership & Insights

  • Deliver insights on market dynamics, pricing, profitability, and portfolio mix to enable data‑driven business decisions.

  • Serve as a finance thought partner to senior leaders, translating complex analyses into clear, actionable recommendations.

  • Support ad hoc strategic analyses to inform investment, growth, and margin improvement decisions.

Financial Performance & Governance

  • Drive ownership and transparency of platform‑level financial performance, supporting delivery of key financial metrics.

  • Ensure strong financial governance, compliance, and controls in accordance with J&J policies.

Process Optimization & Operational Excellence

  • Improve and standardize financial and innovation processes, including KPI development and post‑investment performance tracking.

  • Drive simplification and consistency to enhance decision quality, accountability, and scalability.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Drive simplification and consistency to enhance decision quality, accountability, and scalability.

The position will report to the Sr. Finance Mgr, JJSV Global Innovation.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum amount of a bachelor’s degree is required, preferably with a major in Accounting, Economics or Finance.

  • An MBA degree or financial certifications (i.e. CPA, CMA, etc.) are preferred

  • A minimum of 4 years of finance, accounting or related business experience is required

  • This position requires a highly motivated individual with strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity, communication skills, and proven leadership capabilities.

  • Strong collaborator and proven business partner with ability to influence all levels of the organization is required

  • Ability to understand and articulate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner is required

  • Strategic mindset to develop deep insights through external and internal findings is required

  • This position is located in Irvine, California or Jacksonville, Florida and this position may require up to 15% domestic and international travel

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$94,000.00 - $151,800.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).

This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.

Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

Vacation –120 hours per calendar year

Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado –48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington –56 hours per calendar year

Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year

Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year

Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child

Bereavement Leave – 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year

Caregiver Leave – 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period10 days

Volunteer Leave – 32 hours per calendar year

Military Spouse Time-Off – 80 hours per calendar year
