The Embedded Software Engineer will support the development of multiple programs utilizing a diverse set of skills. The role primarily involves development in C, focusing on either Bare Metal development and/or Free RTOS. The engineer will collaborate closely with multiple wireless systems, including BLE, Wi-Fi, and RF, while supporting device-to-cloud architectures.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain software in C for Bare Metal and Free RTOS environments.
Collaborate with wireless systems including BLE, Wi-Fi, and RF.
Support device-to-cloud architectures.
Engage with a small engineering team to support new product development (NPD).
Work closely with machine learning technologies and integrate wireless technologies with device-to-cloud development.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in Embedded C.
Experience with Bare Metal and/or Free RTOS development.
Familiarity with BLE, Bluetooth, and wireless technologies.
Knowledge of firmware and embedded Linux.
Experience with lab tools such as oscilloscopes and log analyzers.
3+ years of low-level development experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Experience in driver development is preferred.
Embedded Linux experience is desired.
Work Environment
The position involves working in a small team of 8 engineers, consisting of 4 software engineers, 2 hardware engineers, and 2 mechanical engineers. The role offers an opportunity to work closely with machine learning technologies, combining wireless technologies with device-to-cloud development. The team environment is collaborative, focusing on innovation and new product development.

This is a Contract position based out of Irvine, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $90.00/hr.
