Vertiv Corporation Quality Supervisor - Day Shift in Ironton, Ohio
Job Description The Quality Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the quality and inspection functions within the Ironton facility. This role ensures the execution of internal and external audits, supports supplier quality initiatives, and maintains calibration compliance. The supervisor leads a team of auditors and inspectors to uphold quality standards and drive continuous improvement, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams including Supplier Quality Engineering. RESPONSIBILITIES * Supervise and coordinate daily activities of Quality Auditors and Inspectors. * Plan and execute internal audits in alignment with the quality system calendar. * Support external audit processes and ensure readiness. * Review and follow up on corrective and preventive actions. * Ensure calibration activities are completed on time and accurately. * Collaborate with Supplier Quality Engineering to address supplier-related quality issues. * Monitor effectiveness of implemented quality actions and improvements. * Maintain audit documentation and report results to upper management. * Ensure compliance with ISO 9000 standards and internal quality procedures. * Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement across the site. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Job Qualifications: * 3 or more; years of experience in quality assurance or related supervisory role. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to lead teams and drive accountability. * Familiarity with ISO 9000 standards and audit processes. * Experience with calibration systems and inspection tools. Preferred Qualifications: * Experience conducting internal audits. * Exposure to supplier quality processes. * Knowledge of continuous improvement tools (e.g., 8-D, root cause analysis). * Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree required (Engineering, Quality, or related field preferred). PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to move throughout manufacturing and inspection areas. ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS Manufacturing environment with occasional exposure to noise, dust, and temperature variations. TRAVEL TIME REQUIRED Minimal travel expected.
