Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY
The Communications Technician is responsible for the purchase, installation, support and maintenance of the Marshfield Clinic Health System (MCHS) mobile communication devices. This individual will assists higher-level technicians on routine activities relating to phone system operations and maintenance. The Communications Technician maintains inventory control of mobile communication devices and managing loaner devices. This individual works directly with vendors to procure devices and to resolve issues with devices and the systems in place that support them. The Communications Technician will participate in the centralized administrative support for Infrastructure applications and systems related to mobile devices to ensure timely and cost effective service to end users and customers. This individual may also be involved with billing and credit issues.
Provides foundational support for the unified communications (UC) infrastructure across the enterprise.
Works with the various departments on the daily assignments, training needs, and maintenance requirements associated with the technology platforms. Provide expert Tier 1 support for unified communication technologies. Ability to work directly with Internal customers to gather information and troubleshoot issues. Engage and collaborate enterprise-wide to support and maintain solutions to enable effective communications tools. Interact directly with the business to assist in providing direction on appropriate usage of unified communication technologies. Must be able to drive to locations requesting services and support.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
Minimum Required: Associate degree required or two years' experience related to communication technology. .
