BorgWarner Inc. Maintenance Supervisor in Irapuato, Mexico
Ensure the reliability, availability, and operational efficiency of production equipment through proper planning, execution, and oversight of preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities, ensuring that departmental objectives are met; lead your team with a strategic focus, prioritizing planning, resource allocation, and the development of your team’s skills.
Plan and oversee preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities for machinery and equipment.
Prioritize and assign tasks to technical staff based on criticality, resource availability, and production schedules.
Ensure compliance with the preventive maintenance plan.
Verify the proper execution, monitoring, and closure of preventive maintenance work orders.
Monitor maintenance performance indicators, conduct root cause analyses, and define countermeasures for the main causes of issues.
Conduct root cause analyses of critical failures or those that have impacted productivity, quality, or safety.
Coordinate with the control engineer on programming, diagnostics, or improvements at stations.
Validate operating conditions following preventive or corrective maintenance interventions.
Assess technical competencies, identify training needs, and manage the required technical training.
Ensure and promote teamwork, operational discipline, a safety culture, and 5S standards within the maintenance team.
Promote effective communication between shifts through shift handover reports and shift change meetings.
Ensure accurate information in daily maintenance reports.
Develop, modify, or implement preventive or predictive maintenance activities based on machine failure history.
