Job Title: Steel Erector
Job Description
We are seeking skilled steel erectors who specialize in pre-engineered metal buildings. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in erecting metal posts and studs, attaching sheet metal, and insulating and drywalling the interior. This position involves assisting experienced tradespeople, moving materials and tools, and operating lifts. You will use a power drill to attach all sheet metal, and the role requires physical endurance as some metal sheets can weigh up to 100 lbs.
Responsibilities
Erect metal posts and studs for pre-engineered metal buildings.
Attach sheet metal, insulate, and drywall interiors.
Assist experienced tradespeople by moving materials and tools.
Operate lifts and use power drills to attach sheet metal.
Work collaboratively in teams of 3-5 people.
Essential Skills
Steel erection expertise
Experience in construction, particularly commercial construction
Proficiency with power tools and hand tools
Mechanical aptitude
Valid Driver's License
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
Comfortable working from a lift 20ft+ in the air
Work Environment
The work takes place in new, unoccupied construction buildings, with teams of 3-5 people. Working hours are typically from 7am-5pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional longer days and a couple of Saturdays a month. The dress code includes jeans, a t-shirt or sweatshirt, and leather work boots.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Iowa Falls, IA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $24.00/hr.
