Now Hiring: Short-Term Contract Bookkeeper – Iowa City
Are you a numbers enthusiast ready to jump into a dynamic team and make a real impact? Our clients company in Iowa City is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join them on a short-term contract basis. If you love keeping financials organized and accurate, we want to meet you!
What You’ll Do:
Manage accounts payable and receivable workflows
Reconcile bank, credit card, and general ledger accounts
Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly financial statements
Maintain thorough and accurate records of invoices, receipts, and payments
Support audit preparation and year-end closing processes
Collaborate with the finance team to ensure timely, accurate reporting
Requirements
What We’re Looking For:
Professional bookkeeping experience in a business setting
Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks or prior ERPs)
Sharp attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
Excellent communication skills and a proactive, team-first approach
