Boehringer Ingelheim GBS Business Performance Manager in Ingelheim, Germany
The Position
Are you driven by the challenge of transforming data into actionable insights and enabling performance excellence on a global scale? At Boehringer Ingelheim’s Global Business Services (GBS), we are seeking a Business Performance Manager to join our innovative Governance, Enablement & Strategy (GES) team. In this pivotal role, you will shape our global performance management framework, foster data-driven decision-making, and contribute to strategic improvements across our international GBS organization.
This position is part time eligible with 80%.
Tasks & responsibilities
Analyze Global Business Services performance using dashboard data and structured KPI frameworks to generate actionable insights.
Drive performance transparency through multi-level KPI structures covering strategic and operational metrics.
Coordinate key performance management initiatives including benchmarking, SLA governance and management reporting.
Contribute to AI-enabled analytics initiatives and scalable reporting solutions.
Facilitate performance review meetings with senior stakeholders to support data-driven decision-making.
Own and further develop global portfolio management processes, systems and reporting structures.
Define and document global portfolio management standards and drive continuous improvement.
Translate business requirements into system enhancements in close collaboration with IT.
Lead portfolio management related communication and training activities across the organization.
Monitor adherence to portfolio management processes and manage escalations where required.
Collaborate with country teams and cross-functional departments to gather feedback and identify improvement opportunities.
Requirements
Several years of progressive experience in business performance management, analytics, reporting or related capabilities in a global or shared services environment
Solid understanding of end-to-end GBS processes
Strong understanding of KPI frameworks and hands-on experience with reporting and data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Proven experience in leading projects and driving change initiatives
Ability to influence and collaborate across matrix and cross-functional structures
Excellent communication skills in an international environment
Business partner mindset with structured and entrepreneurial thinking
Professional certification in Project Management (e.g., PMI or equivalent) is considered an advantage
Fluent English is required; German is considered an asset
