Job Information
Boehringer Ingelheim Data Scientist / Business Consultant Regulatory Management in Ingelheim, Germany
The Position
For this job as Data Scientist / Business Consultant Regulatory Management in IT RDM (Research, Development & Medicine), we need your vision and your ability to turn complex data into meaningful action.
We are redefining how Regulatory Management uses data, from creating trusted insights, to orchestrating sustainable agentic architectures, to selecting the advanced AI technologies that genuinely move the business forward. You will help us by asking questions like: What business value can we unlock with this data? How do we best to augment our experts through a reliable cognitive layer? Which technology is the right tool for purpose - and how do we successfully bring these complex systems into production? We are building new ways of handling our data, combining business consulting with hands-on AI engineering, multi-agent orchestration, and modern engineering practices.
Challenging? Definitely. Exciting? More than most jobs, we think.
This position is part time eligible with 80 %.
Tasks & responsibilities
In your new role, you will translate regulatory and business needs into solution concepts that leverage modern data technologies - always balancing value, quality, and compliance.
You will develop strategies for data processing, insight generation, and agentic automation, choosing technologies that fit purpose and ensure long-term organizational sustainability and help bring them to operational use.
Furthermore, you will analyze regulatory data flows, identify inefficiencies, and shape future-proof architectures supporting regulatory, clinical, and development processes.
You will continuously communicate with cross-functional stakeholders - negotiating priorities, clarifying needs, and guiding teams toward the right level of quality and documentation.
Structuring and prioritizing requirements to ensure timely and compliant delivery will also be one of your tasks.
You will need to explain data-driven concepts to auditors, compliance partners, and business stakeholders.
The design, orchestration, and maintenance of stateful multi-agent systems and complex LLM workflows will be your responsibility as well.
You will deploy, optimize, and scale AI models in production environments utilizing NVIDIA Inference Microservices (NVIDIA NIM) on Kubernetes.
Moreover, you will build and refine advanced retrieval-augmented generation pipelines, including GraphRAG and semantic search.
You will integrate enterprise data sources and external applications securely using the Model Context Protocol (MCP).
Establishing robust LLMOps practices to continuously evaluate agent performance and ensure compliance will also be one of your tasks.

Deep hands-on expertise with multi-agent orchestration and modern agentic frameworks (i.e. LangGraph)
Strong experience with advanced AI architectures, including GraphRAG, knowledge graphs, and vector databases
Understanding of regulatory or pharmaceutical environments is a strong plus - but equally welcome is the willingness to learn
Affinity for working in an interdisciplinary, intercultural environment
Excellent English skills (oral and written)
