How you’ll make an impact in this role
You will assess, medicate, and stabilize critical patients during intrafacility and interfacility transport.
Monitor, document, and communicate patient status and treatment for safe hand-off.
Inspect and maintain safe transport equipment and supplies.
Adhere to Air Medical vendor limitations and educate on safe transport requirements.
What minimum requirements you’ll need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
Required Credential(s):
Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
Certification specializing in The S.T.A.B.L.E Program obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
Drivers License obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. If acquired prior to 1993 Respiratory Care Practitioner accepted. Registered Radiologic Technologist (RRT)
One or more of the following:
Respiratory Therapist specializing in Neonatal Pediatric Transport credentialed from the National Certification Corporation (NCC) obtained within 24 Months (2 years) of hire date or job transfer date. Certified Neonatal Pediatric Transport(C-NPT)
Respiratory Therapist specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained within 24 Months (2 years) of hire date or job transfer date. Registered Respiratory Therapist-Neonatal/Pediatric Specialty(RRT-NPS)
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent and Graduate of a Respiratory Care program by hire date or job transfer date required.
Work Experience:
Three years of experience in Level III/IV NICU or PICU required.
Five years of experience in Level III/IV NICU or PICU preferred.
