V2X Quality Engineer Representative in Indianapolis, Indiana
Description
V2X is seeking a Quality Engineer Representative (QE Rep) at our Indianapolis, IN, location. The QE Rep serves as a key liaison between quality assurance, production, engineering, and program management teams to ensure compliance with internal procedures, customer requirements, and applicable standards. This role supports a wide range of quality-related activities across the product lifecycle, from proposal development through final delivery.
A primary focus for the QE Rep is continuous improvement. Core responsibilities include optimizing processes, reducing waste, and improving efficiency across operations. Other duties include reviewing and approving manufacturing documentation, supporting qualification testing, initiating and dispositioning of nonconforming material, and participating in internal and external audits. The role also includes supporting production & receiving inspections and coordinating with supplier quality.
This position requires strong cross-functional collaboration and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. A technically oriented candidate is required who can uphold requirements of a Quality Management System based on the AS9100.
Key Responsibilities
Lead initiatives to enhance productivity, drive quality improvements, and reduce defect rates
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across operations
Review and approval of manufacturing routings and production order changes
Review internal test procedures and witness production testing
Lead root cause and corrective action investigations
Investigate issues with supplied hardware and support first article inspection activities
Evaluate out-of-tolerance calibrations and determine impact
Interface with DCMA and government QA representatives
Support qualification test activities and related documentation
Create nonconforming material reports, identify defects
Perform quality checks and create certificates of conformance
Be a compliance resource across the business
Review and approve manufacturing assembly instructions
Coordinate with supplier quality for PO concerns
Support production engineering in tooling and routing creation
Support electrical and mechanical inspectors
Required Skills:
3–5 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, or related technical field
Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
Technical expertise in Military mechanical, electro-mechanical and electronic devices
Experience in aerospace, defense, or automotive manufacturing environments
Knowledge of supplier quality processes and government QA protocols
Familiarity with customer returns, calibration systems, and tooling development
Exposure to management reviews and risk reviews
Experience with quality notifications, RCCA, and audit
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and inspection techniques

Education Requirements:
A Bachelor of Science degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM)
Experience will be considered in lieu of a degree in the evaluation process
