Major Tool & Machine, Inc. Full Stack Developer in Indianapolis, Indiana

Duties:

  • Designing user interfaces.
  • Developing back-end applications.
  • Ensuring cross-platform optimization for mobile devices.
  • Responsible for application performance and tuning.
  • Responsible for project execution from conception to finished product.
  • Staying abreast of developments in web applications and programming languages.
  • Support network and database administrators as needed.
  • Maintaining and upgrading in-house programs.
  • Works collaboratively in a team environment.

Job Qualification Requirements:

Educational Experience- Degree in Computer Science is preferred.

  • Experience-

    • Strong organizational and project management skills.
    • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
    • Proficiency in JavaScript frameworks such as Angular JS (preferred), React and Amber.
    • Proficiency with languages such as Python, Ruby, Java, PHP and/or .Net.
    • Familiarity with database technology such as MS SQL and Oracle.
    • Gupta/OpenText experience a plus.
    • Excellent verbal communication skills.
    • Good problem-solving skills.
    • Attention to detail.
Physical Demands- The employee is required to:

  • stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend to floor
  • exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or
  • exert 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or
  • exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Certification Required- None required. Visual Acuity- Accommodations as required for reading computer screens and documents. Hearing Ability- Accommodations as required for communicating with internal and external customers. Working Conditions- Normally works in an office environment. Occasionally the employee is subject to

  • shop floor environment
  • high noise levels from operating machines
  • physical hazards from moving equipment and production components
  • breathing fumes, dust and mist
  • skin exposure to oils and cutting fluids.
  • welding flashes

The employee may be required to follow other job-related instructions and to perform other job-related duties as requested, subject to all applicable state and federal laws.
