Robert Half Construction Project Manager in Indianapolis, Indiana
Description
We are looking for a skilled Construction Project Manager to join our client's team in Indianapolis, Indiana. This role involves overseeing and coordinating multiple aspects of construction projects, from initial lead generation to final closeout. You will play a key role in managing project documentation, finances, schedules, and communication with various stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee all phases of construction projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and documentation management.
• Prepare detailed estimates and take-offs, including conceptual budgets and self-performed work.
• Manage project finances, including change orders and cost tracking.
• Develop and maintain master project schedules in collaboration with trade partners and field staff.
• Lead pre- and post-job meetings to ensure alignment among all project stakeholders.
• Serve as the primary liaison between clients, architects, engineers, field teams, and trade partners.
• Conduct regular reviews of look-ahead schedules and productivity with Superintendents to optimize project outcomes.
• Collaborate with Superintendents to proactively identify and resolve jobsite challenges, ensuring safety and profitability.
• Ensure efficient and timely project closeout by assisting field teams with necessary processes.
• Respond promptly to communications and contribute to business development and marketing efforts.
Requirements • At least 5 years of experience managing construction projects.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methods, scheduling techniques, and job-cost accounting.
• Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proven problem-solving skills with a focus on solutions and proactive decision-making.
• Ability to lead and inspire teams while fostering collaboration.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project scheduling software such as Microsoft Project.
• Familiarity with on-screen take-off tools like Bluebeam; experience with Vista, Viewpoint, or TrimbleOne is a plus.
