Job Description
Join our team as a Technician, where you'll be instrumental in prepping commercial and retail facilities' flooring for concrete resurfacing. Your role involves operating hand and power tools to grind concrete surfaces and using specialized equipment like diamatic grinders and polisher machines. You'll also restore cracks in the surface before the final preparation. This position requires a strong physical ability as it involves work on bent knees and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
Prepare commercial and retail facility floors for concrete resurfacing.
Operate hand tools and power tools to grind and polish concrete surfaces.
Use diamatic grinders, polisher machines, and caulking tools for surface restoration.
Perform tasks involving physical labor, including working on bent knees.
Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
Essential Skills
Knowledge of construction and labor practices.
Experience with hand tools and power tools.
Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in outdoor environments.
Work Environment
The work environment is physically demanding, involving tasks like grinding concrete that can generate dust. We follow strict safety guidelines, requiring PPE such as steel-toed boots, hard hats, and potentially respirators. Work shifts are typically from 7 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays. Dress attire includes steel-toed boots, jeans without holes, and high-visibility shirts for safety.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, IN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
