Expected pay range of $24.52/Hr. to $38.46/Hr., varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).
Travel: 2 weeks per month
Training: 6 months in Madison, PA
Primary Purpose of Position
Responsible for performing all levels of equipment calibrations and/or testing and analysis using recognized methodologies, industry standards, and technical experience. Calibration technicians are responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of instruments and equipment to ensure they are calibrated correctly and provide accurate measurements.
Primary Duties and Accountabilities
Perform calibrations of measuring & test equipment and/or tests and analysis of plant components, systems, and parts.
Produce accurate test reports of calibrations and testing and verifies acceptability of results as required in the Constellation PowerLabs Quality Assurance Manual.
Interact with clients and vendors on technical projects and calibrations.
Process vendor calibrations and conduct vendor source verifications for testing and calibration.
Perform corrective/routine maintenance and/or repair of PowerLabs and customer equipment.
Support or perform customer onsite calibrations or testing that may involve regional travel
Safely stand, crouch, and kneel for extended periods of time.
Ability to travel when required.
All other job assignments and/or duties pursuant to company policy or as directed by management to include but not limited to: (Department duty coverage and/or call out and positions outside of department in support of emergent activities etc.)
Minimum Qualifications for Level I
Two years of related experience in equivalent inspection, examination, or testing activities, or
High school graduation (or GED) and six months of related experience in equivalent inspection, examination, or testing activities, or
High school graduation (or GED) plus certification in Knowledge and Skill Modules leading toward certification in associated OJT.
Completion of college level work leading to an Associate Degree in a related discipline plus three months of related experience in equivalent inspection, examination, or testing activities.
Minimum Qualifications for Level II
Associate's degree in a technical discipline OR
60 credits towards a Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline OR
Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL) training OR
High school diploma/GED with 4 years of experience in chemical, electrical, mechanical or metallurgical testing, analysis or calibrations or basic engineering principles
Maintain minimum access requirement or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
Minimum Qualifications for Level III
Associate’s degree in a technical discipline with 1 year of experience in equipment calibration and/or testing and analysis OR
60 credits towards a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with 1 year of experience in equipment calibration
and/or testing and analysis OR
Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL) training with 1 year of experience in equipment calibration
and/or testing and analysis OR
High school diploma/GED with overall 6 years of experience in chemical, electrical, mechanical or metallurgical
testing, analysis or calibrations or basic engineering principles with 1 year of experience in equipment calibration and/or
testing and analysis
Maintain minimum access requirement or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical
examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
Preferred Qualifications
Nuclear power plant experience or Radiation Protection experience
Metrology or related education via vocational technology (VoTech), military or Associate's degree in technical area
