Naval Sea Systems Command ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in Indian Head, Maryland
Summary You will serve as an Administrative/Technical Specialist in the Financial Department (01N1), NAVSEA ERP Business Office Division (01N) of NAVSURFWARCEN IH DIV. The NT-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-13 and GS-14. The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $158,322). Responsibilities You will serve as a Financial Associate on the Finance Team within the Operations and Business Process Team (OBPT) of the Naval Sea Systems Command, Enterprise Resource Planning, Business Office (NEBO) providing Navy ERP systems support. You will perform complex analysis of accounting information and system issues. You will be responsible for system functions such as Funds Management, General Ledger Management, Cash Management, Labor, Overhead, Settlement, Billing, Vendor Pay, Sales Orders, Travel, Period End/Year End closing, financial interfaces, reporting. You will provide support to the NA VSEA Enterprise, both General Fund and Working Capital Fund. You will serve as the liaison for the NAVSEA Enterprise and financial point of contact to the Navy ERP Center of Excellence. You will support the NAVSEA Enterprise as a Navy ERP system expert for finance and will be responsible for trouble ticket management and resolution. You will be responsible for interpreting and communicating system changes/upgrades. You will participate in system testing. You will be responsible for writing, reviewing and providing feedback on system defects and change requests. You will participate as an integrated process team member across the NEBO, with in NAVSEA, and across all system commands. You will be responsible for interpreting financial policies and procedures and making business process recommendations. You will be responsible for providing effective customer service. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: utilizing financial systems helpdesk (i.e. Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)) by performing systematic financial functions to devise resolutions on user and audit issues.
