Our Vision for this Role
As the Sr Manager of Finance Data Governance and System Operations you will play a critical role in the architecture and design of scalable and effective finance systems and data. You will work directly with all areas of Finance & Accounting as well as cross-functional teams for day-to-day support as well as long-term strategic initiatives.

Operational Support and Issue Resolution
Lead day‑to‑day system support, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of Finance system issues.
Establish and manage a tiered support model, acting as the escalation point for Finance system tickets and coordinating with IT and external partners (e.g., Workday AMS, implementation partners) when required.
Develop and maintain system documentation, including process flows, configuration rationale, and user guides.
Lead reporting execution and strategy for Finance & Accounting
Skilled Communicator
Risk, Compliance & Controls
Oversee internal controls related to Finance systems, ensuring compliance as needed.
Monitor system access through periodic access reviews.
Identify systemic risks and coordinate mitigation with cross-functional teams.
Cross‑Functional Partnership
Represent Finance in enterprise governance forums, steering committees, and technology initiatives.
Ensure alignment across IT, HRIS, Payroll, and other business partners on system impacts and dependencies.
Provide visibility into system roadmap changes, risks, and impacts to Finance leadership.
Culture Champion
Training, Change Management & Communication
Oversee change management for system updates and new capabilities, ensuring clarity and adoption across Finance.
Ensure proper training materials, documentation, and communication channels are maintained.
Maintain a feedback loop with Finance users to guide future enhancements and governance decisions.
Team Leadership & Strategy
Provide leadership, coaching, and strategic guidance for the Finance Systems team.
Oversee prioritization of resources to ensure focus on strategic value, risk reduction, and operational efficiency.
Build long‑term team capability and a culture of strong data stewardship and governance.
Trusted Owner
Strategic Oversight & Governance
Provide strategic direction and oversight for all Finance systems to ensure alignment with enterprise goals.
Establish governance frameworks, approval processes, and prioritization models for Finance system changes.
Oversee the Finance system roadmap to ensure scalability, compliance, and cross‑functional alignment.
Data Governance Leadership
Own Finance data governance standards, including data quality, stewardship, and lifecycle management.
Govern and approve updates to chart of accounts, hierarchies, and master data models.
Ensure consistent definitions and usage of key financial data elements across platforms and reporting tools.
Partner with enterprise data teams to align on data strategy, integration integrity, and system‑of‑record clarity.
What You Have
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, MIS, or other relevant field of study
7+ years in system and data governance support
Demonstrates strong change agent mindset.
Strategic Mindset: sees ahead to future possibilities and translates them into successful strategies.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; removes obstacles, sets priorities and constructively navigates conflict and positively affects change and alignment.
