POSITION: Behavioral Health Specialist
SALARY: $37.43 hr - $45.59 hr (DOE)
REPORTS TO: Behavioral Health Program Manager LRCHC
LOCATION: Lake Roosevelt Community Health Clinic, Inchelium, WA
SUMMARY: This position is dedicated to delivering responsive high-quality behavioral healthcare services to individuals who are facing mental health challenges. This position is seeking a qualified individual who can offer a personalized approach to support and provide guidance. The incumbent will conduct assessments to evaluate mental health issues, emotional, and psychosocial needs. The incumbent will oversee a caseload and develop individual treatment plans using evidence based practices. This position emphasizes the importance of care and compassion in guiding individuals through difficult times and providing them with essential resources.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION, LICENSCES, AND EXPERIENCE
- Required Master's Degree from an accredited program in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or a closely related behavioral health field.
- Preferred Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
- OR Associate-level license in the State of Washington as one of the following working toward full licensure under approved clinical supervision in compliance with WAC 246-809: Licensed Associate Independent Clinical Social Worker (LAICSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (LMFTA).
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Basic Life Support, HIPAA and Privacy Act training certification is required within 90 days of hire.
Must have experience serving diverse populations, including individuals with complex behavioral health needs, co-occurring substance use disorders, or trauma histories.
Knowledge of or familiar with Washington State laws and regulations related to mental health, mandated reporting, and ethical practice (RCW 18.225 and WAC 246-809). Must have knowledge of using electronic health records (EHR) and managing clinical documentation in accordance with Medicaid/Medicare standards.
Must have the ability to conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate mental health, emotional and psychosocial needs.
Knowledge of Developing and Implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based practices.
Must be able to provide therapeutic interventions, including individual, family, and group counseling to address any diverse mental health challenges.
Ability to consider internal and external resources to develop client treatment plans.
Knowledge of local, state, Indian Health Service (IHS) and federal regulations and licensing requirements pertaining to behavioral health.
Knowledge of private and public managed care reimbursement requirements.
Knowledge and commitment to adhere to the professional code of ethics for the respective profession.
