Southern Ute Tribe Boys & Girls Club Aide in Ignacio, Colorado
POSITION SUMMARY: Assists in the implementation, planning, and supervision of activities provided within the Boys & Girls Club (BGC) program.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Plans, supervises, and participates in Boys & Girls Club programs.
2. Creates an environment that facilitates the achievement of Youth Development.
3. Promotes and stimulates program participation.
4. Provides guidance and role modeling to members.
5. Assists in the implementation and administration of programs, services, and activities for drop-in members and visitors.
6. Monitors and evaluates programs, services, and activities to ensure the safety of members, quality in programs, and appearance of SunUte Community Center at all times.
7. Maintains daily logs of programs and participants.
8. May participate in special programs and/or events.
9. Maintains and monitors supplies and equipment needed for Boys & Girls Club Programs, reporting any damaged or unsafe equipment to supervisor.
10. Exhibits professional and courteous interactions with individuals associated with the Boys & Girls Club, the Tribe, and the community; serves as a role model for youth in the program.
11. May work afternoon and evening hours including weekends. Schedule may vary depending on the program needs.
12. Attends meetings and trainings when required or requested.
13. Participates in a positive, supportive, and team-oriented environment.
14. Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be 18 years or older.

Must be able to read at an 8th grade level.
Must have experience working with children and knowledge of youth development.
Must be able to work afternoon and evening hours including weekends, as needed.
Must have or be able to obtain Certification in First Aid/ CPR.
Must have a valid Driver's License for state of residency and be insurable under the Tribal vehicle insurance policy.
Must pass a thorough background check including criminal history, fingerprint check, and pre-employment drug test.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
One-year experience working with the Boys & Girls Club or similar organization.
Knowledge and familiarity with the Southern Ute Indian Tribe and/or Native American Tribes or organizations.
