Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled Finance Capability Architect (ERP & Finance Applications) to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will design, validate, and implement scalable financial and controlling solutions that ensure technical feasibility, seamless system integration, and process automation. Acting as a bridge between business needs and technological capabilities, you will play a key role in shaping robust architectures that align with enterprise standards and strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
Enable governance‑defined Finance processes and solution standards across the Finance application landscape
Shape and assess Finance capability enablement options across applications (e.g. Central Finance, SAP PaPM, new SAP Finance capabilities)
Translate Finance governance and solution standards into application‑level capability and integration concepts
Analyze impacts, dependencies, and feasibility of Finance capability changes across processes, data, and reporting
Define cross‑application integration and data flow implications required to enable Finance capabilities
Drive capability assessments, feasibility studies, and proof‑of‑concepts in close alignment with Finance stakeholders and IT
Prepare decision options, recommendations, and transition paths for Finance leadership
Act as the Finance counterpart to IT for capability enablement and application‑level discussions
Contribute to Finance capability roadmaps while ensuring alignment with governance, compliance, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Information Management, Engineering, or a related field
Several years of experience in Finance‑related application landscapes , preferably in one or more of the following areas:
Finance & Controlling processes (e.g. Accounting, Controlling, Planning)
Finance application enablement or capability assessment (e.g. ERP extensions, Central Finance, Finance analytics or performance management solutions)
Cross‑application integration and landscape analysis in complex enterprise environments
Proven experience in analyzing, structuring and assessing Finance capabilities and solution options , rather than hands‑on system implementation
Experience working at the interface between Finance, IT and external solution providers , preparing decision options for senior stakeholders
Professional & Conceptual Skills
Strong understanding of Finance application landscapes (e.g. SAP ERP Finance, Central Finance, Finance analytics and performance management tools) as well as DataBricks
Solid knowledge of integration concepts, data flows and application dependencies in Finance environments
Ability to assess feasibility, impacts and trade‑offs of Finance capability changes across processes, data and reporting
Experience with proof‑of‑concepts, option evaluations and capability assessments for Finance solutions
Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements in Finance‑related system landscapes
Soft Skills
Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills
Ability to structure complex topics and present clear decision options
Excellent communication skills across Finance, IT and management levels
Ability to work independently in an ambiguous, evolving environment
Strong stakeholder alignment and facilitation skills
Language
- English: fluent (written and spoken)
