CACHE CO CORPORATION Seasonal Road Laborer in HYRUM, Utah
OVERVIEW
If you love the outdoors and are looking for summer work, look no further! The Cache County Road Division invites qualified and interested candidates to apply for a Seasonal Road Laborer I, II, or III position. Individuals who are self-motivated, hardworking, and responsible are encouraged to apply.
Hours are Monday thru Thursday 6:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Position starts June 1, 2026 and will run until the end of August.
RESPONSIBLITIES
Seasonal Laborer I - Laborer ($17.00/hr)
- Operates pickups and flatbed trucks (not requiring a commercial driver's license), and miscellaneous hand tools in accordance with all safety regulations and procedures; conducts routine equipment maintenance and daily equipment inspections according to County standards.
- Perform basic road repair and maintenance tasks; reports safety hazards and traffic problems.
- Performs manual labor assignments as needed such as pothole patching, crack sealing, chipping and paving operations, and other road maintenance tasks.
- Does facility housekeeping and maintenance.
- Reports and maintains daily work records.
- Performs other duties as required.
Seasonal Laborer II - Flagger ($19.00/hr)
- Operates pickups and flatbed trucks (not requiring a commercial driver's license), and miscellaneous hand tools in accordance with all safety regulations and procedures; conducts routine equipment maintenance and daily equipment inspections according to County standards.
- Perform basic road repair and maintenance tasks; reports safety hazards and traffic problems.
- Performs manual labor assignments as needed such as pothole patching, crack sealing, chipping and paving operations, and other road maintenance tasks.
- Performs traffic control and flagging activities as needed; follows safety rules and regulations on all work zone and flagging sites, including placing signs, barricades, traffic cones, and other warning devices; specific duties may vary according to job assignment.
- Does facility housekeeping and maintenance.
- Reports and maintains daily work records.
- Performs other duties as required.
Seasonal Laborer III - Truck Driver ($21.00/hr)
- Operates trucks requiring a CDL (Class B), and miscellaneous hand tools in accordance with all safety regulations and procedures; conducts routine equipment maintenance and daily equipment inspections according to County standards.
- Perform basic road repair and maintenance tasks; reports safety hazards and traffic problems.
- Does facility housekeeping and maintenance.
- Reports and maintains daily work records.
- Performs other duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be 18 years of age or older and possess a valid Utah Driver's License with no DUI, ARR, and no more than 2 moving violations in the past 24 months, CDL license a plus.
