Cornerstone OnDemand Senior Systems Engineer in Hyderbad, India
Position Overview:
This position is for a Senior SystemsEngineer role and the ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of
cloud infrastructure, with expertise in Linux, Windows, VMware and Storage
systems. Candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and
maintaining robust cloud infrastructure & datacenter servers while ensuring
high availability, scalability, and security.
In this role you will..
Design, deploy,and maintain infrastructure services across datacenters and public cloudenvironments (AWS, Azure, etc.).
Manageinfrastructure projects with a focus on high availability, performance,and scalability.
Collaboratewith cross-functional teams to identify infrastructure needs and delivercloud-based solutions.
Manage andoptimize cloud-based storage systems (block storage, object storage, andfile systems).
Administer andoptimize Linux and Windows-based servers and virtual machines and systems incloud environments.
Automateinfrastructure deployment, configuration, and management throughInfrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform,CloudFormation, Ansible, Python or similar.
Implementmonitoring, alerting, and logging solutions to ensure the health andperformance of cloud infrastructure.
Troubleshootand resolve infrastructure-related incidents and performance issues.
Ensure datasecurity and compliance by applying security best practices toinfrastructure design and management.
Provideguidance and mentorship to junior engineers and staff.
Stay up to datewith the latest cloud and datacenter technologies, trends, and bestpractices, and apply them to the infrastructure.
Assist indisaster recovery planning and execution to ensure data integrity andservice availability.
You’vegot what it takes if you have…
OperatingSystems: Expertise in both Linux (Red Hat, Rocky, CentOS, etc.) and WindowsServer environments (2016/2019/2022).
Storage: Strongexperience in managing cloud-based storage solutions (block storage,object storage, network file systems) and on-premises storage technologieslike NetApp, Pure and EMC.
Automation& Scripting: Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform,CloudFormation) and scripting languages such as Python, Bash, orPowerShell and Ansible.
Virtualization& Containers: Experience with cloud-native technologies such as Docker,Kubernetes, and VMware.
Networking: Solidunderstanding of cloud networking concepts, including VPCs, subnets,security groups, VPN, and load balancing.
CloudPlatforms: Extensive experience with at least one major public cloud provider(AWS, Azure, GCP).
Monitoring& Security: Experience with monitoring and alerting solutions (e.g.,Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, Nagios) and implementing security bestpractices (IAM, encryption, firewall policies).
Troubleshooting: Ability todiagnose complex system and network issues, with a focus on performanceoptimization and root cause analysis.
Certificationsin cloud platforms (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure SolutionsArchitect, or similar).
Experience withCI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
Experience withconfiguration management tools such as Chef, Puppet, or SaltStack.
Knowledge ofdatabase management in cloud environments (e.g., SQL, Oracle DB, MongoDBdatabases).
Strongcommunication and collaboration skills for working across teams andstakeholders.
