Amazon Vendor Management Assistant I, Translation Services Operations in Hyderabad, India
Description
A Vendor Management Assistant I works closely with Vendor Managers to maintain and optimize vendor operations within Translation Service Operations (TSOps). This role focuses on executing day-to-day operational tasks to ensure smooth vendor onboarding, capacity management, and database maintenance. The position requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, international environment.
Key job responsibilities
Execute vendor hiring and onboarding processes according to established SOPs
Manage daily capacity assessments and gap analysis for vendor requirements
Monitor and respond to vendor communications through the freelance-interest mailbox
Maintain vendor database accuracy through regular clean-up processes
Process vendor blocklisting and quit requests as needed
Support Vendor Managers in data collection and basic reporting tasks

Supporting the onboarding process by reviewing vendor applications, checking documentation completeness, and coordinating test assignments
Monitoring and responding to vendor inquiries through the freelance-interest mailbox, ensuring timely and accurate communication
Assisting Vendor Managers with daily capacity tracking by updating spreadsheets and flagging potential gaps
Maintaining vendor database accuracy by performing regular data clean-up activities and updating vendor information
Processing administrative requests such as vendor blocklisting, quit requests, and status changes
Collecting and organizing data for regular reporting needs
Assisting with basic vendor performance tracking and documentation
Supporting Vendor Managers in day-to-day operational tasks and special projects as needed
Coordinating with team members to ensure smooth information flow and process execution
About the team
The Vendor Management Operations team within Translation Services Operations builds and maintains relationships with external vendors to deliver results for our customers. The team analyzes project capacity requirements, identifies gaps, and hires vendors to meet these needs. As a Vendor Management Assistant I , you'll support the team in maintaining vendor relationships and executing processes that ensure service delivery.
Basic Qualifications
Experience in English-language communication skills, both written and verbal
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications (especially Excel)
6+ months of database administration experience, or Bachelor's degree in engineering, technology, computer science, machine learning, robotics, operations research, statistics, mathematics or equivalent quantitative field
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in vendor management
Knowledge of databases (querying and analyzing) such as SQL, MYSQL, and ETL Manager and working with large data sets
Experience in capacity planning, operations planning, business analysis or similar
Experience managing time efficiently, meeting personal goals, and working effectively with internal, partner, and customer teams
Knowledge of data analytics with tools such as Tableau, SQL, Quick-sight
Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities, or experience with programming/scripting (Batch, VB, PowerShell, Java, C#, Chef, Perl, Ruby and/or PHP)
Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities, or experience in managing and troublshooting network
Experience performing accurate data entry and analysis
