The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company Vehicle Validation Engineer in Hyderabad, India
About the Role:
This role will focus on the development of test cases, validation strategies, and ensuring system requirements are effectively validated. The ideal candidate will contribute to innovating validation methods and work closely with cross-functional teams to improve test development processes. This position does not involve direct vehicle testing but will focus on test case design, validation framework development, and strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze system requirements and develop structured test cases for validation.
Design and implement validation strategies to ensure robust testing methodologies.
Develop and refine test frameworks and automation techniques for efficient validation.
Work with physics-based models, simulation tools, and validation processes to improve testing effectiveness.
Support the development and validation of tire models
Perform test data review to ensure accuracy and completeness of validation results.
Utilize Dspace modeling for test environment setup and validation support.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify potential issues, innovate test approaches, and enhance validation efficiency.
Document test strategies, procedures, and validation results to support continuous improvement.
Contribute to innovative approaches in validation, leveraging AI-driven techniques, automation, and advanced test methodologies.
The role may require driving prototype or test vehicles under controlled conditions to support validation activities and gather real-world performance data.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field .
Understanding of vehicle dynamics, test methodologies, and validation strategies .
Knowledge of tire modeling or vehicle physics-based modeling is a plus.
Experience with data analysis tools (MATLAB, Python, or similar) .
Familiarity with simulation environments and test automation frameworks .
Experience with vehicle dynamics models and prior automotive industry knowledge .
Understanding of ASPICE, ISO 26262 , and systems engineering processes.
Experience with JIRA and Polarion for test case management and validation tracking.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on innovation.
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and collaborate across functions.
Candidates should possess hands-on experience with vehicle instrumentation, including installation, calibration, and data acquisition systems used during validation testing.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):
Strong Knowledge on Vehicle systems
Familiarity with AI-driven test case development and automation .
Internship or project experience related to test strategy, validation frameworks, or automotive testing.
