The Cigna Group Software Engineering Lead Analyst - HIH - Evernorth in Hyderabad, India
Required Qualifications
• 5–8 years of professional experience in DevOps, backend engineering, or platform
engineering
• Strong Python skills with real production experience
• Hands-on experience building or maintaining backend services (REST APIs,
microservices)
• Working knowledge of data engineering concepts (ETL, pipelines, data validation)
• Experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS or Azure)
• Familiarity with CI/CD tooling and release automation
• Experience with Docker and container orchestration (Kubernetes preferred)
• Solid Linux fundamentals and troubleshooting skills
Key Responsibilities
• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation (including GitHub
Actions where applicable).
• Develop and support Python-based backend services and REST APIs.
• Build and operate data pipelines, ingestion workflows, and processing jobs.
• Manage containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Apply Infrastructure-as-Code practices for repeatable, versioned environments.
• Implement and improve observability (logging, metrics, alerting) and participate in incident
troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on system design, delivery, and operational readiness.
• Contribute to documentation and engineering best practices, including reliable
branching/release workflows.
